    DESCRIPTION:
The beautiful fruit/dessert bowls were produced with large pink & white apple blossom sprays of a pattern named "Apple Blossom" #246.  The design looks so classic.  There are grey ghost leaves to give depth to the pattern of green leaves.  The apple blossoms have yellow stamens for a realistic bloom.  This makes a beautiful display or can be used everyday.

While this set is classified as used, the condition is superb.  There are no chips, nicks, cracks, rubbings, scratches or hairlines.  There is no wear to the gold.  The photos show a full frontal view of each bowl with additional close-ups.
    DIMENSIONS:
    The bowls have a diameter of 5 1/8" with a height of 1 1/8".
    HISTORY/MARKS:
Carl Magnus Hutschenreuther formed his company in 1814 in Hohenberg an der Eger, Bavaria and his son, Lorenz Hutschenreuther formed his company in 1857 in Selb, Bavaria.  This latter company acquired P.T. Porcelain Factory in 1927 and then in 1969 was merged with the former company and continued operation as Hutschenreuther AG (Selb, Bavaria) until 1994 when the Tirschenreuth factory was closed due to bankruptcy.  This platter has the underglaze "P.T." Bavaria Tirschenreuth Germany mark on it.  The P. T. Bavaria Porcelain Factory Tirschenreuth was founded in 1838 in Tirshenreuth, Bavaria.  After Hutschenreuther purchased the pottery in 1927, the mark was modified.  The mark on this is cited by website marks4ceramics. as mark #8 (with Germany) used in the 1948-1970 time period.  It also has the red PASCO importer mark.  Paul A. Straub was a New York importer for L. Hutschenreuther products from 1915-1970.
