Antique Real Photo Postcard, circa 1910. It took some detective work to identify and locate this nice interior scene which depicts a professional gentleman in an office with his secretary. The back has writing which reads "L.M. Doyle, Sec" "Letcher" and Verdon(?)" From the 1910 report of the South Dakota Department of Banking and Finance we find that L.M. Doyle was an official with the Citizen's Bank in Letcher, South Dakota. Verdon is a town north of Letcher in South Dakota, and we're not sure why that town appears on the back if indeed that is what it reads. The message on the front is quite clearly penned by "Ruby" who is the secretary in the scene.
Divided back, Velox stampbox, not postally used.
Condition:
This is an original photo postcard, not a copy or reproduction. It is in very good condition aside from a 1.5 partial tear/bend on the left side edge.
