  • Condition: Free of cracks, repairs and crazing. There is one chip on the rim and about 5 drop stains that darkened the gilding. There are moderate hardware marks, and about 9 spots on the plate where the white porcelain shows through the gilding. See closeups provided.

    Description

    A gorgeous dinner Charger plate with Raised Gold Encrusted trims and contrasting band of flowers and classic ornamentation. The band depending on light conditions could look black in low light, or a regal purple in a brighter setting.
    Mark: Hutschenreuther Selb in green cursive. Ann green lion enclosed in an oval with the acronym LHS under the oval a single word all in capitals: Bavaria
    The Name John Wanamaker in red.
    Measures: 10.8" wide and 1" high
