Child's Scottish Kilt with matching Glengarry tam size 10

Description

This is a traditional all wool Scottish kilt and Glengarry tam for a child, size 10. It is made with Royal Stewart tartan plaid. It is in good condition except for a small hole in the front that could easily be repaired. There is a leather strap to fasten the kilt. It is torn and needs care in using. A large plain safety pin weights the skirt flap. Black grosgrain ribbon adorns the tam. A red pom pom is on top. The straps attach with buttons in the front and are sewn to the back of the kilt according to child wearing it. I wore the set for a photo and not much else as I remember. However, it looks like my mother hemmed it at some point.
The kilt was purchased in Bermuda in 1958.
